Renovation Week 6: June 21 - 25th

Through one of my student and friend's referral. We finally hired a new brick layer/tile setter last minute on Monday. He charged a rate that is much more reasonable to raise the change room and bathroom floor and set all the tiles on the floor and walls of the change room and bathrooms. Once we have his work set to begin, everyone else can schedule their work around this. So we had the whole crew coming, the electricians, painters as well. It was a busy week where everyone had a task and as the bricklayer mixed the sand and cement, so much more dust are created.

We had to hire someone to haul some sand to mix with the cement in order to create the raised floor for the change rooms and bathrooms. We got about 2 cubic meters of sand. Later it turned out this was slightly more than what we needed.

The raised floor was created in less than a full work day.

The painters finally started to begin painting the final color for the walls. The electrician accomplished most of the electrical work: finising putting the tube, wires, lighting fixtures, fans, circuit break switches, etc.

Next week we expect the tiles will be set and painter will finish up the touch up part.
